ABSTRACT
Title: A Cancer Patients Perspective on Nutrition and Physical Activity During and After Cancer Treatment
Summary: There is a lack of sufficient resources and expertise to provide cancer patients with evidence-based support for nutritional assessment/advice and exercise oncology.
Informed by her personal experience of the physical and emotional benefits of exercise during and following cancer treatment, Eileen will discuss the experience of navigating the maelstrom of pseudoscience, misinformation, and ‘nutribabble’.
Furthermore, Eileen will outline some positive support developments within nutritional and exercise oncology in addition to advances in patient involvement and collaboration in cancer research.
