Dr. Susie Gray
Research Development Manager, Queen's University Belfast
Susie completed her PhD at Queen’s University Belfast in 2013 before undertaking a post-doctoral position at the Centre for Neurotrauma, Queen Mary University London. Following this, Susie was appointed as Research Communications Officer at private medical research charity, the Rosetrees Trust, where she had responsibility for engaging researchers to monitor project progress and promote the work of the Trust. She then joined Imperial College London in 2016 as Research Strategy Coordinator for the Faculty of Medicine, with responsibility for the management and delivery of devolved funding schemes, as well as providing support for several major successful strategic funding applications. Subsequently, she accepted a position as Research Programmes Manager at the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre. In this post, Susie managed a £20M portfolio of research across a range of areas including neurosciences, infection, immunology and healthcare informatics and oversaw the BRC’s commitment to training and capacity development for clinicians. Since January 2020, Susie has held the post of Research Development Manager within Research and Enterprise at Queen’s University Belfast.
