
Dr. Louise Brennan
Research Fellow and Chartered Physiotherapist, Trinity Exercise Oncology Research Group, Discipline of Physiotherapy
Dr Louise Brennan is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Research Fellow in the Discipline of Surgery in Trinity College Dublin. She is Project Manager of the Personalised Exercise Rehabilitation in Cancer Survivorship (PERCS) study and is part of the Trinity Exercise Oncology Research Group.
Louise’s main research interests are technology in healthcare and cancer rehabilitation. She completed a Marie Curie PhD Fellowship in 2020, which was performed across University College Dublin, Beacon Hospital, Dublin, and Salumedia, a digital therapeutics company in Seville, Spain. Louise’s PhD focused on developing a mobile application and wearable sensor system to support patients during rehabilitation after surgery for breast cancer. She has presented nationally and internationally, and has been published in journals across the disciplines of healthcare, electrical engineering and computer science.
