Associate Professor, Director, MSc Cancer Survivorship, Discipline of Occupational Therapy, Trinity Centre for Health Sciences
Dr. Deirdre Connolly is based in the Discipline of Occupational Therapy, Trinity College, Dublin and leads on cancer-survivorship research and education in her Discipline. Her research focus is on improving quality of life for cancer survivors and family members.
She has undertaken multiple studies designing and testing the effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions for cancer survivors. She is particularly interested in the impact of persistent symptoms such as fatigue, stress and reduced cognition on resuming work and other valued activities following treatment.
