Dr. Claire Timon
Research Fellow, Centre for e-Integrated Care (CeIC). School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health, Dublin City University
Dr Claire Timon holds a BScAg in Food Science from University College Dublin and a PhD in Human Nutrition from The University of Sheffield. Her PhD and post-doctoral training focused on the development and validation of diet and health assessment technologies for both research and national surveillance purposes. Dr Timon has published extensively in this area and has obtained exchequer funding to support her research. Dr Timon is currently based in the DCU Centre for eIntegrated Care (CeIC) where she is employed as a Research Fellow in Digital Health. Her research focuses on the application of Digital Health and Internet of Things (IoT) technology for the assessment of diet and health and for lifestyle behaviour change interventions in ageing, cancer and chronic disease populations.
