Dr. Aidan D. Meade
Senior Council Member
Dr. Aidan D. Meade is a Lecturer in Physics at TU Dublin and a PI at the Radiation and Environmental Science Centre TU Dublin and the SFI ADAPT Research Centre. He is the Course Director for the BSc in Physics with Data Science programme at TU Dublin.
His research is focussed on the development of chemical (vibrational spectroscopic) and other optical hyper-spectral imaging and detection systems, towards diagnostic and prognostic applications in cancer treatment. This work involves primary research in disciplines including chemical imaging, radiobiology, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
His research is funded by SFI, HRB, EU and IRC. He is a member of the International Society for Clinical Spectroscopy, the Institute of Physics and the European Association for Cancer Research and serves as Associate Editor for Frontiers in Oncology.
